Mr. Rambhajan is a serial entrepreneur, small business advocate and educator who is passionate about leveraging his experience to help others. For the past 25 years, his businesses have been in the construction, real estate and restaurant industries. His most recent venture, FirstLAUNCH, is a mobile application that introduces young students to entrepreneurship by providing a platform to learn, start and grow their own small business.
Sharing his knowledge and experience as an entrepreneur, Mr. Rambhajan provides practical strategies for starting and growing a small business. He is often asked to speak at programs and events for organizations, including the Small Business Administration, Purdue University’s Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans and various Chambers of Commerce. His accomplishments have been highlighted in publications such as the National Resource Guide for Small Business, the Chicago Tribune and Crain’s Business Chicago.
An avid supporter of small businesses and veteran-owned firms, he allocates time as an advisor to mentor and support fellow entrepreneurs. He currently serves on Boards for several small and veteran-owned business organizations, including the Elite Veteran-Owned Business Network and the US Small Business Administration - Regulatory Enforcement Fairness Board.
Mr. Rambhajan remains active in the Chicago community and in several civic organizations. He has served as Treasurer on the Board for the Levy Auxiliary Senior Center, a charitable not-for-profit organization, and currently serves as Board President for the Warrior Summit Coalition, which provides veterans and active military with support services.
Enlisting at age 17 to serve his country, Mr. Rambhajan served 8 years in the US Marine Corps. He obtained his bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois, a Certificate in Project Management from DePaul University and is a Graduate of the Kellogg Management Institute, Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.
